What is sweeter? The smell of success, or the smell of bacon? Here at Havoc, we no longer have to choose.

On Friday night the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce saw fit to give Havoc Farm Pork three awards at the Hospitality and Tourism Awards. The Local Food Producer Experience Award, Sustainability Award and The Supreme Award.

The picture tells the story, Lady Havoc, giddy with excitement, Lord Havoc laughing at her surprise. He claims that he never had any doubt, that from the moment the nominations were announced, he knew victory was assured. But he always says things like that.

We want to thank everybody, the judges, our mums, the pigs, the Chamber…everybody. But most off all we would like to thank each other. Everybody here at Havoc makes success like this possible. Without each other, we wouldn’t have the need to build an extension to the trophy cabinet.

…and that isn’t it for 2011. We still have Hams to deal with and one last, great big trick up our sleeves. Don’t worry about missing it though, we’ll be in touch.
