Havoc Prime Pork Products had humble beginnings but noble aspirations. Nothing more than a pig farm and a series of ideas written on a paper napkin over lunch. To cut out the middle man. To let people taste the difference. To do it right. We wanted to make sure that Havoc Pork was Free Range, Anti-biotic free, Out-door, Right on and utterly delicious. Not much has changed in the years since that meal.

We continue to supply from paddock to plate with our heads held high. The people, magazines, television shows and chefs nationwide have agreed on the sublime flavour. As for the pigs themselves, well, they’re all over the place, but every night they go back to their own huts.

The pigs are grown on Havoc Farm in Hunter, South Canterbury. 


Havoc Pork has moved it’s processing to Dunedin.

The band is pretty much still in tact (give or take a lead singer and triangle virtuoso) the venue is much bigger and all the gear is shiny and new. But the HAVOC FARM remains the same.

Sausage sizzle fundraiser for small creditors

Last night in the Octogon there was a sausage sizzle to raise money to help the creditors from the Otago Rugby 'situation'. To some of the staff at Havoc, Rugby is third on the list, behind only Family and Bacon.

The Otago Farmers Market has, for the last 10 years (ish) been a kind and comfortable home for Havoc Farm Pork. Rain, hail and shine Linda has been there every week. And every week she was being asked the same question. “Where can I buy Havoc Pork in Dunedin?” We always had a stockiest but they couldn’t carry our entire range. So finally the decision was made. Lets open a shop. So we did.

On Friday night the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce saw fit to give Havoc Farm Pork three awards at the Hospitality and Tourism Awards. The Local Food Producer Experience Award, Sustainability Award and The Supreme Award.
